Begin your Costa Rican experience by exploring the Arenal Volcano, Venado Caves, and La Fortuna waterfalls! Students will learn about unique species of endangered frogs, butterflies, and monkeys, and navigate the cloud

forest canopy of Monteverde on an exhilarating ziplining tour! Throughout the program students will learn about biodiversity, habitat sustainability and human impact.  Students then travel from mountains to sea to the Manuel Antonio National Park, where they’ll observe Howler and Capuchin monkeys that call the park home. Curriculum and Trip Highlights:
  • Hike the Arenal Volcano National Park > become a volcanologist for a day!
  • Community Service at a rural elementary school
  • Work on an ECO-FARM and learn about sustainable farming
  • Spend a relaxing evening in the natural hot springs of the volcanic region
  • Study unique species of frogs at a frog and snake menagerie
  • Learn about the adaptation made in order to thrive in their specific environment
  • Monteverde Canopy Tour > a zip line tour of the cloud forest

  • Tour the mangroves along the Tempisque River with ECMAR (The National Marine Science Station)
  • Tour a private rain forest complete with hanging bridges and natural swimming holes
  • At Manuel Antonia National Park > observe Howler and the endangered Capuchin monkeys
  • Learn how the local community supports this threatened species
  • Snorkel tour on a dinnertime cruise near the reefs and explore the marine life.  
  • See dolphins swimming in the boat's wake and feeding on the amazing California Flying Fish

Price is all inclusive with the exception of the Cuban Visa (Purchased at Mexico City Airport, currently $60). Some nominal service gratuity is not included such as when dining out at restaurants.
